Reparametrization Invariance and the Schr\"odinger Equation
In the present work we consider a time-dependent Schr\"odinger equation for
systems invariant under the reparametrization of time. We develop the two-stage
procedure of construction such systems from a given initial ones, which is not
invariant under the time reparametrization. One of the first-class constraints
of the systems in such description becomes the time-dependent Schr\"odinger
equation. The procedure is applicable in the supersymmetric theories as well.
The supersymmetric quantum mechanics is coupled to world-line
supergravity, and the local supersymmetric action is constructed leading to the
square root representation of the time-dependent Schr\"odinger equation.Comment: RevTeX,25 page
Cypc19*17 Polymorphism as a Risk-factor for Nsaids-induced Ulcers
The new risk-factors for peptic ulcers induced by the use of nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs, such as polymorphism of different isoenzymes of cytochrome P450 were considered in the article. The aim of the research was to study different genetic polymorphism of several ferments CYP2C9 and CYP2C19 in inclination to NSAIDS-gastropathies by the way of estimation the risk of appearance of Helicobacter pylori (HP)-positive or Hp-negative NSAIDS- induced peptic ulcers, complicated or not with upper gastrointestinal bleeding.124 persons were examined (76 men, 48 women in the age of 56,2+/–9,1 years) with Hp-positive or Hp-negative NSAIDS-induced peptic ulcers, that were performed genotyping of isoferments of cytochrome system (CYP2C9, CYP2C19). Based on investigations of 5 different isoenzymes (CYP 2C9*2, CYP 2C9*3, CYP 2C19*2, CYP 2C19*3 and CYP 2C19*17). It was founded that peptic ulcers are strictly associated only with CYP 2C19*17-genotype, possibly due to its involvement in arachidonic acid metabolism and gastroprotection. Thus, polymorphism CYP 2C19*17 can be considered as one of the risk factors for NSAID-gastropathy though the future researches are needed
Dual symmetry and the vacuum energy
In this work we present a new hidden symmetry in gravity for the scale factor
in the FRW model, for . This exact symmetry vanishes the cosmological
constant. We interpret this hidden symmetry as a dual symmetry in the sense
that appears in the string theory.Comment: 7 pages, no figures, work sent to Class. Quantum Gra
Supersymmetric FRW model and the ground state of supergravity
In this work we construct the vacuum configuration of supergravity
interacting with homogeneous complex scalar matter fields. The corresponding
configuration is of the FRW model invariant under the local conformal
time supersymmetry, which is a subgroup of the four dimensional space-time
supersymmetry. We show, that the potential of the scalar matter fields is a
function of the K\"ahler potential and of the arbitrary parameter .
This parameter enumerates the vacuum states. The scalar matter potential
induces the spontaneous breaking of supersymmetry in supergravity. On the
quantum level our model is a specific supersymmetric quantum mechanics, which
admits quantum states in supergravity, and the states with zero energy are
described by the wave function of the FRW universe.Comment: 18 pages, Revtex, submitted to PR
Spin-dependent Scattering by a Potential Barrier on a Nanotube
The electron spin effects on the surface of a nanotube have been considered
through the spin-orbit interaction (SOI), arising from the electron confinement
on the surface of the nanotube. This is of the same nature as the
Rashba-Bychkov SOI at a semiconductor heterojunction. We estimate the effect of
disorder within a potential barrier on the transmission probability. Using a
continuum model, we obtained analytic expressions for the spin-split energy
bands for electrons on the surface of nanotubes in the presence of SOI. First
we calculate analytically the scattering amplitudes from a potential barrier
located around the axis of the nanotube into spin-dependent states. The effect
of disorder on the scattering process is included phenomenologically and
induces a reduction in the transition probability. We analyzed the relative
role of SOI and disorder on the transmission probability which depends on the
angular and linear momentum of the incoming particle, and its spin orientation.
We demonstrated that in the presence of disorder perfect transmission may not
be achieved for finite barrier heights.Comment: 16 pages, 15 figure
Spin polarization of electron current through a potential barrier in two-dimensional structures with spin-orbit interaction
We show that an initially unpolarized electron flow acquires spin
polarization after passing through a lateral barrier in two-dimensional (2D)
system with spin-orbit interaction (SOI) even if the current is directed
normally to the barrier. The generated spin current depends on the distance
from the barrier. It oscillates with the distance in the vicinity of the
barrier and asymptotically reaches a constant value. The most efficient
generation of the spin current (with polarization above 50%) occurs, when the
Fermi energy is near the potential barrier maximum. Since the spin current in
SOI medium is not unambiguously defined we propose to pass this current from
the SOI region into a contacting region without SOI and show, that the spin
polarization loss under such transmission can be negligible.Comment: 11 pages, 6 figures, accepted for publication in Journal of Physics:
